A Tradition Resumes

Sorry to leave you guys hanging last night!  I was on a ‘date’ with Mike.  He has his office party tonight, which significant others aren’t invited, so it was our last chance to hang out before I am gone for nine days.  We went to dinner and baked, can it get any better?  Maybe to some yes, but for this foodie, that is the perfect date in my eyes.

You will see my leftovers appear as dinner tonight.  The dish I got was so good!  But I don’t want to spoil the surprise, so you’ll have to wait until to night to see what and where we went last night.

So…. It has been a long time since I had a scone on Friday.  Although I have made up for the absence by having a scone on Thursday for instance, it never felt right.  So I am glad that I can officially say it is Scone Friday!

It is also my last day of work before I am off all next week.  My flight to Dallas leaves bright and early tomorrow morning.  We are talking 4:30 a.m. wakeup call.  Yikes!

But let’s back up, because I didn’t just wake up… I had to wake up to have a date with Jillian. She hates me.  Or I hate her maybe, because my body is unbelievably shaky.  But that is a good thing, she is working my booty.  And I need strength training in my life.  So there will be another date in the near future!

So now getting to the important things in life.  Baked goods.  And more specifically, last Thursdays baked good.  A Strawberry White Chocolate Chip Scone.

It was good, don’t get me wrong. But, not enough strawberries to satisfy me. I still have my two favorites and I am starting to think there isn’t another flavor that can knock them out of their top spot.

But I shouldn’t complain.  An Allies scone & Friday combo can’t be beat.  Especially this Friday.

Work has been so busy this week and I have made it through a lot of stressful days, so I am going to treat myself to Subway today.  Maybe Jimmy Johns, but probably Subway.  I love that at Subway has a wide variety of bread options (Hello cheddar!) and that you can have a greater selection of what you want on your sammie.

Last but not least, I am bringing a Strawberry Chobani for my afternoon snack.  And putting my initials on it so that I don’t experience a yogurt thief.  Aren’t you proud Stephanie?

The lighting in my apartment is horrible since it is still pitch black out, so stand in photo of the yogurt.
