Could grilled cheese and soup ever get old?
Okay, maybe if you ate it for every single meal. But like a bowl of spaghetti and meatballs, macaroni and cheese, chili and chicken pot pie, to name a few, this classic combo will never get old in my book.
You guessed it, it was grilled cheese and chunky tomato soup for dinner!
I always have to crumbled some saltine crackers on top of my soup. I love soggy saltines. May sound gross, but it is true. Anybody with me?
I doctored up my grilled cheese sandwich with tomato, mushrooms, and basil.
Basil=WOW! I think I will always include basil moving forward, even if it is just plain grilled cheese. It totally added a whole new dimension to the sammie, as Rachael Ray would say, something to make people go ‘hmmm’ 
.
By the way, I like my grilled cheese semi-burnt…

I love Grilled cheese and that one looks great!
Oh god you just ate one of my all-time favorite combos. I think we have the same tastes too because I LOVE soggy saltines and I need my grilled cheese very well done (same with toast too actually). I have recently discovered that adding honey mustard to a grilled cheese is awesome too. I am sure the basil addition made the flavor totally pop.
Love the fancy grilled cheese / soup combo — sometimes it’s just what ya need to get through the week, agreed!
